Im kinda doing things backwards. i framed the exterior walls out cause i thought i was going to hang drywall on the ceiling. why dont i step my game up and be a little more classy. so this is what i got.
something super secret goes here. hence the crazy framing.
plaster ceiling...
lathe ceiling...
exposed joist ceiling!
here you can see into the attic.
when i framed, i screwed the single top plate to the floor joists and samiched a little plaster and lathe in between. its fun to take that all out.
heres the burnt section that the chimney made. its custom. custom burnt.
here is the fancy thing i made for wife. she found it off pinterest of course. and there is my internet and phone lines hanging off it. plaster everywhere.

Sump pump winterized
Its winter. and its cold. i was getting tired of the flexible sump pump hose freezing and the pump just running. time for an upgrade.
here is a little shot of the insulated duct work i hung last month. pain in the rumpus.
this is the winter attachment. ill unscrew this at the house and put on a 90 degree going into a tile that i'll put in this spring. we are hillbilly, we insulate with hay.
